Twenty Years. Unbelievable.

Yet here we are. As inevitable as the rising sun, August 15th arrived and as we settle into the evening, I've taken this moment to truly appreciate the undying creativity of the Clock community all these years on. The joy each and every Clock Day submission I've seen this year has wrought cannot be over stated, and my cheeks are starting to hurt from an entire day of smiling.

Picking favourites seems unfair to all the others but I would be remiss to neglect insisting that you watch InkwellClock's newest cartoon

More over, the ClockCrew.net (join today) ensemble rolled up our sleeves to bring you not one, but TWO giant collaborations this year

As July meanders its way to a close we encroach ever closer to the most sensational, inspirational, celebration of creative endevour the portal, nay, the world has come to know; CLOCK DAY

Not just any Clock Day, either! August 15th, 2021, marks twenty years since the submission of B and thusly the start of our humble organizations second decade on Newgrounds. To commemorate this earth rending achievement, the great minds of the CC administration have pulled together to create a prize pool to incentivize masses to join in on the momentous celebration. Herr VCRClock has outlined the specifics on the BBS (click here for that)

With the general disaster of my life this last year (bet you haven't heard that one before), the looming forced obsolescence of Flash Player really snuck up on me, and I found myself feeling very melancholy about it today- knowing that tomorrow something so fundamental to my creative endeavors in the last decade plus will simply be gone.

To commemorate what I can only consider to be the closing of a chapter in the realm of independent art, I made this short video and wrote a big fat wall of text underneath it in the upload description.

The irony of posting a Youtube video in regards to this is not lost on me.

It is my sincere hope that Ruffle, which today is extremely promising, can come to truly fulfill and usurp the role of Flash Player moving forward.

Today marks the five year anniversary of the last Flash Flood, and it was five years before that it was first attempted.

How about another kick at the can, for old times sake?

So what is the Flash Flood? It's an animation challenge for the masochistic. One cartoon a day, every day, for the entire month of February... and it's a leap year.

We're kicking things off right with a brand new collab, organized by the hyper talented Pop-Tart, and featuring some of the finest talent the CC has to offer.

What a year! First and foremost, all the love in the world to any NGer who contributed yesterday. We had one hell of a turnout, dominating the entire Daily Feature list (minus one)! The CC braintrust brought us the latest greatest alphabetic masterpiece: D, while the King of the Portal himself graced us with an episodic continuation from last year with Clockmiration! It is the duty of all to vote five. PolyhedronClock is still slaving away at getting Shuffle The Flash out the door, our newest large scale collaborative effort. My part came out on Clock Day last year, but the entire project is coming SOON™️ to a Flash Portal near you!

Some other highlights this year include InkwellClock's Fruit Marmelade, SockPuppetClock's OrangeClock 2000, PinClock's Strawberry Digital, TropicanaClock's Time's Up, ThorClock's Jitterbug Trilogy, and Orinoco by GreyClock. Getting home from work and being flooded with all these fantastic cartoons makes me as giddy today as it did 12 years ago.
